The museum’s annual Art & Nature festival takes place November 6-9. Setting the scene, executive director Dr. Malcolm Warner describes this year’s events and discusses the significance of the festival to Laguna Beach.
Art & Nature is a celebration of all aspects of art’s engagement with the natural world. It will feature special exhibitions of nature-inspired works; a keynote lecture on the great environmentalist John Muir; a film, panel discussion, and concert that all highlight the importance of the ocean as a source of inspiration for California art and music; and a family festival with art-and-nature activities for kids of all ages.
Dr. Warner will also preview other coming attractions at the museum, especially some major exhibitions currently in the planning stages.
