Recovery expert and author of self-help/personal growth books Holli Kenley will participate in the 100 Authors For Literacy Event in September at the Martin Luther King Center in San Mateo, California.
Scheduled for September 21st, the event allows 100 authors in various genres to give a brief talk about their publications and share their stories with the audience. Authors will also be promoting their published books via the event.
The message Kenley always shares in her speaking is, “Wellness awaits each of us. We choose the time. Now is your time! Grab hold of the keys and unlock your recovery today!” With this message at the center, she will be reading a short recovery passage from each of her three books that she wants to highlight at the event: Breaking Through Betrayal, Mountain Air, and Cyber Bullying No More.
In Mountain Air, Kenley writes, “Deep down inside, each of us knows what our truths are. It is forgivable to lose them. It is unforgivable not to reclaim them.” Her message of hope is that it is NEVER too late to reclaim our voices, to re-instate our self-respect, and to make healing choices based on renewed strength and spirit!
“This is why I write… why I speak… why I do what I do! I desperately want to provide others with the tools and lessons to reclaim their truths – and to live whole and healthy lives!”
For some time, Holli Kenley has also been toying with the idea of a novel that will be therapeutic in nature – providing healing lessons for the reader,
“I hope to inspire and entertain as well. Right now, it is still swirling around in my head! As it takes shape, I hope to start writing in October,” she says about her future writing plans.
Currently based in Arizona, Holli Kenley’s latest book Mountain Air: Relapsing And Finding The Way Back One Breath At A Time, published in 2013, tells her the story of her personal journey through relapse and a powerful journey back to recovering.
