Driver Fled Scene After Fatal Collission
On February 8, 2012 at around 5:57 p.m., the driver of a 1995, beige Nissan Maxima was traveling northbound on Gilbert Street, Anaheim, within the unincorporated area of Anaheim.
The Nissan struck and killed 3 year old Miranda Palacios.
Miranda was crossing Gilbert Street with her mother at Guinida Lane. After the collision, the Nissan made no attempt to stop and fled from the scene. An investigation into this hit and run collision is ongoing. CHP investigators are seeking any information that may lead to identity the driver of the Nissan.
Investigators hope that someone saw the incident, or saw the vehicle in the vicinity, or knows of a beige Nissan Maxima that has recent damage to it, or any other information.
Orange County Crime Stoppers has issued a reward of $1,000.00 for any tip that will lead to the arrest of the driver responsible for the death of Miranda Palacios.
